Primo ceramic grills are kamado style grills, similar to the Big Green Egg and Kamado Joe with some significant differences. The Primo is the ONLY ceramic cooker that is made in the USA. The Green Egg is manufactured in Mexico and the Kamado Joe is manufactured in China. The ceramic on the Primo is also more dense than that of its competitors, which helps the grill maintain a more consistent and even temperature; which matters when you’re cooking something that will take all day. Lastly, the Primo has a Patented oval shaped kamado cooker that allows for a more functional cooking surface, such as when you are cooking ribs, and allows you to divide the grill into two (2) cooking areas for radiant and convection heat.
